-Congratulations Dr. David Maestro. He defended his PhD on february 25 obtaining Sobresaliente cum laude and the "mención para premio extraordinario·". Good news for our group. He will be with us as postdoc scientist.

Ana V. Villar Ramos, investigadora del IBBTEC, premiada por su liderazgo desde los valores en un proyecto científico

1st of march Helena Soto will start as PhD student in our scientific group FIBROHEART

-we are an active partner of the scientific network:  

-February 2022:

- 7 february: Invited talk to the scientific activity hold by conexion nanomedicina CSIC.

-October 2021:

We offer a Contract for 3 months to join the research we are currently developing in a project related to therapies based on plant extracts against pulmonary fibrosis in COVID-19 and the role of telomeres in the protection against the disease.

The graduate student should have completed a Master's degree (Biochemistry or similar) during the 2019-2020 or 2020-2021 academic year.

 

We are looking for a graduate student in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry or a similar area, who is interested in working in COVID-19 at the Institute of Biomedicine and Biotechnology of Cantabria-University of Cantabria. The first 6 months of project will be extended for three more years through a competitive pre-doctoral fellow. The student will work with new generation anti-fibrotic drugs to protect lung cells affected by COVID-19 and the role of fibroblasts in the disease that we will extrapolate to the heart.
